Katherine: *looks at her clipboard and then looks up at all her gathered students.* "alright! I believe we are all ready for this lesson. one at a time each of you are going to perform the walk, trot, canter and come back and line up. Lizzie, you can start and then Ashley. after those two do their turn anyone my go." Lizzie: "ok Katherine!" I turn Destiny around and come along side the fence, I ask destiny for a walk, then let my hands go with her mouth. when we walk around most of the arena I nudge Destiny and on the correct diagonal I start posting to Destiny's smooth collected trot. then I sit the trot for a bit, and quickly ask for the canter. Destiny flies into a canter on the right foreleg, I keep my seat down and heels down. then after several strides I slow Destiny to walk and walk back to the lineup of horses with their riders. Mark: I walk to the arena after everyone has tacked up and I stand next to Katherine, ready to be of assistant. I smile brightly after Lizzie finishes her turn, she is a very good rider.	jjpals & Dynamo

Darby: *Turns Emma at the fence and starts walking while making sure I wasn't pulling on her mouth. I then squeeze lightly and ask for a trot. With no response I tap my crop and Emma goes into a nice easy well-paced trot. After a quarter of the ring, I ask her to walk and turn her head slightly to the side. I then say canter while kicking her lightly and giving her tap with my crop. We pick up the right lead and canter for a round. I then ask her to walk and turned back around to the riders. I then proceeded to line up behind Lizzie.*	bubbagwen859 & Gwen

Ashley: * I turn Lightning around and stay close to the fence, I ask for a walk then relax my heels. We walk for a little while, then we smoothly transition into a trot, we trot, then smoothly transition into a canter, he canters around back to the other horses and I slow him down to a walk then line up with everyone else.*	Sugar1Loaf2 & Lightning

Katherine: that is alright Judy, we can definitely work on that some more with you. ok, we will now see how everyone does over some jumps. *I set up two cross-rails in a row, then a vertical* ok, starting with Lizzie you will all trot or canter over these jumps and then line back up. ok Lizzie, you can go. Lizzie: alright Katherine:) *I turn Destiny in a big circle, working up to a trot, then I trot over the first cross-rail and land into a canter, we count 5 strides and leap over the second cross-rail perfectly. I keep a steady rein and seat while we canter to the vertical and leap over. but Destiny is not used to verticals and she hits the jump with her front legs and when we land she sort of bucks. I keep her steady and slow her down, then line up. Mark: I help Katherine set up the jumps, then I watch Lizzie happily but help her settle Destiny down after her bucking.	jjpals & Dynamo
